Annual reports for Gisborne Holdings Ltd. As a Council Controlled Trading Organisation, GHL invests the assets of the Tairāwhiti region to generate commercial returns. These investments hold significant importance for the local community, necessitating a thoughtful and sustainable approach on an annual basis.
Extreme weather events, including severe flooding and mudslides, significantly impacted the region in January 2023, preventing positive business figures. To properly address this challenging reality, we developed a reduced and purely graphical design that intentionally refrained from using costly photographs.
The report’s key visual is the geographical outline of the Tairāwhiti region, composed of simple geometric shapes. These were complemented by icons that effectively visualised relevant information.
